What types of weddings do you photograph?
At Senses at Play Photography, we specialize in intimate weddings, destination elopements, and full-day celebrations. Whether it’s a barefoot beach ceremony or a lavish resort wedding, we’re here to document it authentically.
Do you photograph elopements or micro weddings?
Absolutely. We love capturing the emotion and intimacy of elopements and small weddings. We offer specific packages tailored to smaller celebrations.
Can you help us plan the photo timeline?
Yes! We’ll work closely with you (or your planner) to create a photo timeline that fits your day seamlessly ensuring we capture all the key moments without adding stress.
What packages do you offer, and what’s included?
We offer a range of collections—from 1-hour elopements to full-day coverage. All packages include high-resolution edited images, an online gallery, and full printing rights. Add-ons like second shooters, albums, and rehearsal dinner coverage are also available.
Do you offer custom packages?
Yes. Every love story is unique, and we’re happy to build a custom package around your needs, timeline, and budget.
What’s the deposit and payment schedule?
A 35% retainer is required to reserve your date, with the balance due 45 days prior to your wedding. Payment plans are available upon request.
How far in advance should we book?
For peak season (November–April), we recommend booking at least 6–12 months in advance. That said, last-minute dates do sometimes become available—feel free to reach out!
Can we reschedule if needed?
We provide you full details on wedding insurance, the best format to cover you and your wedding (all deposits and monies paid out) – that being said – if you need to reschedule a full day of photography services there could be up to a $500 fee, for hourly clients if we have your date available we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Are you available on weekdays or for sunset sessions?
Definitely! Weekday weddings and sunset sessions are perfect in Key West’s soft, golden light. Let’s make it magical, no matter the time.
Do you have experience shooting in Key West?
Yes—Key West is our home base and playground. We know the light, the hidden gems, the tide patterns, and the unique vibe of the island. You’re in good hands.
Do we need a permit to shoot on the beach or in public spots?
Some beaches and public areas do require permits. We’ll guide you through the process and help secure any necessary paperwork for your chosen location.
What’s the best time of year to get married in Key West?
November through April is peak wedding season with ideal weather. Summer months are warmer and more humid, but sunsets are still stunning. We photograph weddings year-round and can adapt to any conditions.
Can you recommend venues or vendors in Key West?
Absolutely! We’ve worked with many local planners (our favorite – www.familyaffairkeywest.com), as well as various florists, makeup artists, and venues and would be happy to share trusted recommendations.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
Tropical weather is unpredictable, but we come prepared. We scout covered locations and bring weather-resistant gear. If needed, we’ll adapt and keep the vibe light, fun, and beautiful—rain or shine.
Are you experienced for sunset or evening shots?
Yes, we are experienced so whether it’s sunset, a candlelit dinner or a sparkler exit, we’ve got you.
Are you comfortable shooting in heat and humidity?
Yes—Key West heat is no joke, but we’re well-accustomed and plan accordingly. We also schedule short breaks to keep everyone comfortable and glowing (not sweating!).
Do you charge travel fees within Key West or the Florida Keys?
No travel fees for weddings anywhere in Key West or the Lower Keys. Travel beyond Marathon or to mainland Florida may require a small fee, depending on logistics.
Do you travel for weddings outside of Key West?
Yes! We’re available for destination weddings throughout Florida, the Caribbean, and beyond. Let’s bring the Senses at Play experience wherever your story takes you.
Can you cover rehearsal dinners or day-after sessions?
Yes! We offer additional coverage for welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, and day-after portraits or adventure sessions—perfect for couples turning their wedding into a full experience – plan ahead if you want to schedule a few days in a row.
When will we receive our wedding photos?
You’ll receive a preview (sneak peek) gallery within 48 hours, and your full gallery is delivered within 30 days. We also offer rush turnaround for a small fee if needed.
How many images do you deliver?
On average, you’ll receive 60–100 images per hour of coverage—carefully edited and curated to tell the full story of your day.
Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes! We design heirloom-quality albums and offer professional prints and wall art through your gallery store. We’d love to help you bring your images to life.
Will we get an online gallery?
Yes. All collections include a private online gallery that you can easily share with family and friends. It’s also downloadable and mobile-friendly.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we carry full liability insurance, and we’re happy to provide a certificate if your venue requires it.
Do you use a contract?
Always. Our contract outlines everything clearly so there are no surprises—just peace of mind and a solid plan for your day.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, bank transfers, and payment platforms like PayPal or Venmo. Payment plans are also available.
